TreVon Morgan is name to watch for Ohio State Another Massillon wide receiver standout will be making the trip to Columbus with Ballard, per Nate Moore. That is 2019 prospect TreVon Morgan, a 6-foot-6, 215-pound wideout that could project at tight end or even linebacker at the next level. Morgan, Ohio’s 76th-ranked player in the class of 2019, is fully recovered from a broken collarbone that kept him off the camp circuit this summer. He has six offers currently, but some of the bigger schools in the region are waiting to see how his senior season unfolds — including Ohio State. He’s trying to not let recruiting be his focus, as it can only interfere with his team’s goals. “Schools are waiting to see how explosive I am this year,” Morgan told Lettermen Row. “I’ve got six offers, but really I’ve been focused on my team.” New Buckeyes wide receivers coach Brian Hartline is aware of Morgan. “They told me that they have another wide receiver spot,” he said. “He said that if I give some good film it could possibly be me who gets it.”
Tre’Von Morgan experiences Ohio State We mentioned here last Thursday that the Buckeyes would host Massillon (Ohio) Washington 2019 wide receiver TreVon Morgan for their home game against Oregon State. Morgan, a 6-foot-6, 215-pound athlete, made the trip as planned. “I loved every part of it,” Morgan told Lettermen Row. “Every time I go it feels like my first time there. I loved the fans, you can see that they love the players and then just the hypeness, everything about the place stands out to me.” Morgan was able to talk pregame with new wide receivers coach Brian Hartline, who continued to encourage him as he works back from a broken collarbone. Massillon coach Nate Moore is going to bat big time for Morgan, and the wide receiver and Hartline shared a laugh about Moore and his tactics– which helped get Thayer Munford to Ohio State. “When we went to eat in the recruiting room, and I talked to a lot of coaches,” Morgan said. “Brian Hartline said, ‘Your coach sends me film on you all the time.’ And we both started laughing about it. “He said to just keep grinding and balling and my coach will talk with Urban Meyer about my ACT, because I did really good on it and how my grades are.” Grades? Check. College football-ready frame? Check. From here, it’s all about putting film together that shows why the Buckeyes should take a chance on Morgan, who wasn’t able to camp in Columbus this summer because of that broken collarbone. In the meantime, he hopes to return for another game soon and will begin planning other trips. “I know they’re still waiting on more film from me,” he said. “I’m going to go to another game here soon to just have to enjoy myself with the process. I’ve got other schools I want to see, and I know I want to go up to Happy Valley and check out Penn State.”

Tre'Von Morgan • Wide Receiver • Massillon, Ohio • ★★★ • Nat. Rank No. 680 Massillon Washington wideout Tre'Von Morgan suffered a collarbone injury in the spring which slowed up his recruitment a bit. The three-star did manage to add two inches and several pounds of muscle to his frame which is now listed at 6-foot-6 and 215 pounds. He held a number of MAC offers early on, but since his body transformation over the offseason Morgan has added several power-five offers. Iowa State, Missouri, Ole Miss, Michigan State, and TCU have all extended offers to the state's No. 28 prospect. Morgan has officially visited Iowa State and plans on taking his remaining officials before signing in February. Penn State is another program that's shown interest of late. As for the Buckeyes, Garrett Wilson and Jameson Williams are already signed at wide receiver, but perhaps Morgan is a guy who could be viewed as a bit of a wideout/tight end hybrid? This should be one of the more interesting in-state recruitments to watch and we'll see if Ohio State makes any sort of push with the limited space remaining.
