If Jimmie can't make so.e serious noise next year, he may bolt for NFL. I think he's a good coach, but I'm starting to question if he is that next level guy like Urban, Sabans, and Dabo

 

I think the issue with Jim is that he's more of an X's and O's guy, but not as much of an organizational guy. Coaches like Urban, Saban, and Dabo are good at building systems that identify and secure elite talent with emphasis on strength/conditioning, and fundamental training while running fairly simple systems on the field.

It seems like Harbaugh does better with players that can execute rather complex game plans, which takes more time to implement. At Stanford, you aren't dealing with 4* and 5* recruits who jump early, so you can build up a team and rely on 4th and 5th year players. At Michigan, players tend to jump if they're performing well, which means younger players have to step in with a rather steep learning curve.

I think Harbaugh might stick with Michigan because he seems to love the town/atmosphere, but his coaching style seems to be much more suited to the NFL, where he can work with an entire roster of highly skilled players that can adapt to his offense and defense without risk of jumping.

That being said, Harbaugh with a veteran O-line and a highly skilled/efficient QB is a scary thing ... But isn't that the case for nearly everyone?

I still can't believe the scUM was trying to offer him a lifetime contract

 

They had 9 TD passes as a team this year. 10 INT's. And that includes the bowl game.

 

Good God, how is that possible?

Our 2011 team threw 18 TDs and we had fewer than 8 completions in half of our games!

That doesn't sound like a real stat. What a horrible year.

 

Haskins played in 8 games and completed 40 passes this season. He had 4 TD passes, including 2 in one game.

 

Walker dismissed from team for 4th violation of team rules in 2 years.
