I was pro JT coming back because this team sorely needs a leader.. but JT did all that in '14 after not throwing a pass before that either.. lol.

    JT is our quarterback.

Our offense will look different because of better coaching. Not to pile on the guys but hiring Beck and promoting Warinner to Co OC proved to be a huge mistake.

Drink that Kool Aid. Let's just keep hoping he'll get better. Next year will be better because JT has the Most of those records from years pass. Like that translate to the next year. What amazes me is the pass JT gets. If it's not the O line, it's the WR's. If it's not the WR's it the Coaching. When it's not the Coaching, it's the play calling. But heck, he's a hell of a leader. LOL.

Not to give a lame cop-out answer but there were games where it was either a particular unit's fault or the fault of everyone involved. Michigan State and Clemson in my opinion are 2 games where I blame everyone involved.

I won't jump on the bandwagon. We will win games but unless he improves we are still going to be one dimensional. Not sure how many times this year he has missed the open man because he decided to tuck and run the ball. You show all his records and accomplishments but yet some how we didn't score a single point against Clemson and he looked horrible his last 3 games of the season. He also committed the worst sin of all and gifted Peppers with his only career interception.

Like I posted in another thread...Jason White won the Heisman at OU in Kevin Wilson's offense...Jason. White.

    3,846 yards 40 TD's .... Jason....White!

Jason White also got killed when he ran into his first legit defense after that Heisman win. Big 12 defense vs Big 10 defense are two totally different things. The end of our schedule will always be the same Michigan State, Michigan, big bowl game, unless you produce in those games it doesn't matter.

Fair point...I guess we will just have to wait and see.

JT has proven that he can get it done when he has an OC and some talent at WR. I've said it over and over, I am so happy we are getting away from converting RB's to WR's and expecting great production.

I am going to drink the kool aid. Consider it done.

When he produces 4000 yards of total offense next year and plays well, I will be interested in who the fans will blame.

No one is saying he does not need to make improvements but to say it should be an open competition next year, I just can't take anyone serious who thinks that. The rest of the quarterback room has not thrown one official pass.

It takes 11 players working together with an understanding of the game plan...............I think we had break downs in the offensive line, wide receivers, quarterback, play calling the past two seasons.........

My point is all of the blame is not on JT. I will ride and die with him.

    3-0 vs Michigan
    2-1 vs Michigan State
    1-1 in Bowl games

    26-4 overall.

    QB 1: 3772 yards, 45 TDs, 10 INTs, 64% comp

    QB 2: 3400 yards, 34 TDs, 5 INTs, 62% comp

One considered a hero the other a failure.

2 loses probably being the worst in modern era for tOSU.

Before JT was your hero he had not thrown a pass that meant anything in 2 plus years. Why not see what is out there, Bama had an open competition this season and seemed to work out well for them.

So, those 2 losses are solely his fault?

The guy has scored 100 touchdowns in his career and you are seriously asking if there is someone else on the roster who will be better for the team?

What would be your reasoning behind having an open competition?

Look, I am not saying he is perfect, I have repeatedly stated I believe he needs to improve and will improve due to the changes on the staff, another year of experience for the wide receivers and an attack that is made for JT's strengths.

Study Wilson's offense.............it is made for a player like JT Barrett.

Everyone loves QB 2 when a team losses a few games.

When a team starts loosing a few games. Yes. Damn straight it's time for the 2nd QB. Heck, Cardale never lost a game and won a Naty. And he still lost his spot. No one thought he could do the job. You just don't know how someone can do till you let them try.

I will stick with the judgement of Urban Meyer.

Simple because in the past two years whether or not its his fault or the offensive planning he's gotten lazy. He makes one read and tucks and runs, so he might as well be a high school qb at that point. A qb is the leader of the entire offense, if he feels his guys aren't blocking correctly he should of spoken up and got onto his lineman. If he felt his wr weren't getting separation he should of been getting into wr faces. After every drive JT runs back to the bench and puts a head set on.

Kevin Wilson offense might cater to what JT does best but what if its run better with Joe Burrow or Haskins we will never know because people like you just think because he's been here for 4 years he should just get an open door to the starting qb job. 100 td's but yet he couldn't manage just one vs Clemson.

Urban Meyers judgement should be in question because he didn't make a single change in 4 quarters of game. He's supposed to be one of the greatest coaches in the game and not one adjustment. Tell me Saban wouldn't of made a change.

In all of this discussion is lost that Urban Meyer knows that JT regressed enough to make coaching changes. If he thought it was JT, then we would still have the same staff and would just do the typical Urban thing by pushing JT to declare for the draft.

AGAIN!! We had running backs playing wide receiver! They could not get open! There's one guy who could get himself open on this team and that was converted running back Curtis Samuel and he had 74 receptions 865 yards and 7 TD's.

Noah Brown was our second leading receiver with 32 receptions...Oh and I'd be willing to bet that he was urged to declare. Time to get some real WR's in! JT will be just fine! I agree with OBJ...He'll have over 4,000 total yards next year. I'd say something like 3,400 passing and 600 rushing.
