    LBJ = Vietnam
    Nixon = Watergate
    Reagan = Iran / Contra
    Bush 1 = no new taxes
    Clinton = I did not have sex...and we could add several more
    Bush 2 = weapons of mass destruction
    Obama = fast and furious started under the previous administration...you can keep your own doctor
    There is enough bullshit and lies that has come out of the White House and Congress...before us, while we are alive and probably forever. People that live in glass houses shouldn’t throw rocks.

    It's actually good advice if you take the emotion out of it. To think otherwise is silly and completely naive to the political climate in Washington.

    It is widely considered by everyone in the legal world to not put yourself in a position with a special prosecutors of agreeing to sit down for an interview. Especially with this one as the investigation was to be centered around Russian collusion however things have slowly leaked out that investigation creep has happened and he is looking at everyone and anyone around Trump and going beyond the campaign. It has been over a year and the only indictments have been to several Russian fronts and Russian citizens which will result in nothing. I am trying to figure out what the CRIME is that Trump has committed. CNN reported last week Trump was not a criminal target, if that is the case then why are they trying to interview him, could it be as a witness? A witness to what?

    Do not be surprised if this turns out to be nothing but a pile of political crap at the end of the day.

    That from a non trump supporter but I am also not into appointing special prosecutors because everyone of them in the history of this government has been a mess.

    The UN should be scaled back or shut down. Another waste of taxpayers money.

    lollll you do realize that the US doesn't run the UN, right? Let me guess, you want the US to step away from its spot at the international bargaining table that has been responsible for keeping the world safe over the past 80 years? Take a look at the trajectory of conflict in world history up until 1942, and compare it to the past 80 years.

    The UN will continue with or without the US. The only difference is that it makes our position weaker on the international level if we do not participate.

    Also to note, significantly "scaling back" our involvement in the UN would require us to turn our back on almost every one of our international allies, and would instantly have an effect on our national security, defense, and economy. The change in an international approach to copyright laws alone would have the possibility of completely crippling US companies across almost all sectors of the market (tech, medical, defense, construction, fashion, etc).

    To put it simply, your calls to scale back the UN are completely unrealistic (and IMO dumb), and would result in complete chaos in commerce at an international level, and possibly war.

    It was made clear from the outset that Mueller's directive to investigate Russia's influence on the 2016 election included "related matters" and that any other possible crimes discovered that wouldn't fit in that purview were to be referred to proper prosecutors-- this explains why the US Attorney's office for the Southern District of New York is the outfit that executed the most recent Michael Cohen search warrant.

    What leaks are you talking about? Meuller's team is possibly the most tight-lipped group in all of DC. Their media exposure is non-existant. Everything we know about the Meuller investigation comes from reporters digging through court filings and George Papadopuoulos spouting off at cocktail bars.

    Firstly, if all Mueller came up with was Russian actors, it would still be a worthy endeavor. His directive isn't to find treason, it's to investigate Russia's involvement in the 2016 election. But of course, you couldn't be more wrong about Russians being the only ones charged anyway.

    Paul Manifort, the Trump Campaign Chairman, will likely go to prison for the rest of his life. George Papadopoulos, Michael T. Flynn, Richard Pinedo, Alex van der Zwaan, and Rick Gates have all been charged and/or plead guilty to crimes.

    Target is a legal term. There are three formal broad categories of interviewees during a federal investigation: Target, Subject and Witness. A target is a person who is likely to be charged. A subject is a person who the prosector has reason to believe may have done something wrong but doesn't have a case prepared against. A witness has little exposure, and the prosecutor believes has done nothing wrong. Trump is a subject.

    We've already seen over 100 charges of 19 people and 3 companies. What political incentive does Robert Meuller have? He's a former Republican appointee with zero political ambitions hired by a Republican appointee who himself is working for a Republican appointee.

    Hollis....

    Actually, Russia's involvement with influencing the 2016 election had already been established by the intelligence community which I am a part of. His mandate was to investigate collusion by Americans with Russia to swing the election. We know now that Russia's focus was to create chaos which they did. They did not favor one candidate or another.

    Mueller has expanded his investigation to years and I mean years before the campaign of Donald Trump. What was he charged to do? Find evidence of collusion with Russians. To this point, no American has been charged with knowingly colluding with the Russians during the 2016 campaign. Also, Mueller or his team indicated recently there is currently no evidence involving any Americans.

    All charges so far involve their own personal business dealings before the campaign. Also, if you are not aware, Mueller has no authority to indict a sitting President. This is political because I thought this was a country based on the rule of law but it is painfully obvious to me that the rules or laws only apply to the select group of people in power in this country. If Trump or anyone broke the law they should be held accountable but let's not act like this investigation would have happened if Hilary had won. There is actually a better case her campaign colluded with Russia to influence the election.

    I am fully aware of how an investigation runs and what terms mean.

    I just have no faith in the investigation when the people running the investigation are not impartial and not unbiased. These are hardline democrats on that team targeting the opposite political party, thus why I believe it is driven by political motives.
    For the record I do not support either party.

    Yep. They will be able to get to the bottom of the Trump affair with a pornstar. Very important for the government to focus on. Who cares? We already know he is not a good person.
