I was impressed with ND defense more than their offense.

They reigned it in early and almost got themselves beat, but they have some really solid WRs who can climb the ladder and high point the ball. As usual with Notre Dame, they have some really great talent on the edges, and a QB that can get them the ball, but are lacking in the trenches and the run game. I think that's what's going to keep them from breaking through into the top tier, but that's generally the case.

It's hard to judge them on defense, because scUM looks just as lost as ever on O. Jimmy boy's complex offense is predicated on experienced skill position players (especially QB), and big bodies up front who can bully defensive lines. Fortunately for us, they seem to have neither, and last year's recruiting class might suggest that it's only going to get worse (the missed out on the top 2 OL in state).

Overall, I saw a very sloppy game last night that Notre Dame won because of it's size on the outside. I don't think either team is "elite."

We should be rooting HARD for PITT, UGA, and UT next week. If one of them win, we are in.

Dream scenario: playoff against Notre Dame, Oklahoma, and Bama.

BEST Dream scenario: UGA beats Bama in the SECCCG, and we face ND, OU, and UGA in the playoff.

As good as Bama has looked, there's no way they are selected over a conference champion with equal record.

Bama is in regardless. If we want a shot at getting into the playoffs, it only happens if Bama beats Georgia. The SEC Bias runs deep.
