Offense showed up ,defence was AWOL,our middle is soft no dam excuse fo giving up 28 pts to that team, their QB had a field day and we could NOT stop him, lots of work to do,this team os a shell of the 14 team, doubt we stay undefeated.

I guess you don't see the entire defensive picture. Like how Zone was killing us in the run game and Joey and the D-line had to respect their lane and stay gap sound to prevent more running lanes from opening up.

However, when they were able to pin their ears back and come. Joey was providing the pressure needed.

I would agree we have some improvement to achieve however this team is very, very talented and we have the best coach in the game. I would not bet against OSU finishing undefeated despite the current areas of concern.

This current team is following a similar path of the 2014 team............

Bosa was also trash against Navy last year.....(sarcasm)

Understanding football goes a long way in critiquing players.

The defense yesterday got caught in a couple of bad spots.................they caught us blitzing linebackers and we lost gap integrity on a few of those huge plays. I thought Bosa who by the way was moving to different spots did a great job getting pressure.

We failed miserably at maintaining containment. Bell busted a coverage. I am confident they will get it cleaned up.

First I understand your concerns. The ranking means nothing. It is something to talk about. I actually thought the offense took a huge step forward. The defense was a little leaky but they caught us in a few defensive calls and we struggled to keep gap integrity and containment.

Bosa was all over the place. He lined up over the guard and outside. I thought he had a very good game.

I would give you Bosa had two mental mistakes yesterday but lets be accurate, he did not line up over Prince every play and when he did, he dominated him. Bosa was typically the reason he quarterback was flushed from the pocket.

This is a product of the unrealistic expectations this team has right now..............

Michigan shutting out BYU, Maryland and Northwestern and now they are the team to beat in the Big Ten...........I love it.

I want to be the underdog. Urban Meyer's teams thrive as the underdog

I will say, even with Cardale having a really good game, we miss the zone read. I hear over and over "run Zeke up the middle," but we just can't do that effectively With our starting personnel.

Last season, the threat of JT keeping the ball and going outside softened the middle. When JT went down, we still had success because we had Haurman leading the way and Evan Spencer clearing-out linebackers.

It will get better with CJ playing better, but I don't think will have super efficient Zeke again without more zone read.

Random thought... how stupid is it that quarterbacks get more statistical credit for jet-sweep "passes" than zone-read hand-offs.?

As long as this team improves week to week we'll be fine. Our schedule is set up in a way this year to allow that scenario.

Not sure what I can say to you if you did not see improvement from the offense......

We won 21 points...........really it was 28 points...............is that not enough? Point spreads are for Vegas. It is not an indicator of a team's performance.

The defense made some mistakes yesterday...........it was isolated and not systemic of a bigger issue............they just had one of those games..........it happened last year also.......

The #1 besides Ohio State means nothing in reality. It is how this team finishes against Michigan State and Michigan.

I hate it when fans compare our performance against a team and then compare our rivals performance against them and believe that is an indicator of who is better. Makes zero sense.

I could not agree more. The offense has better tempo and flow due to the zone read. Urban and staff MUST continue to run the quarterback to make Zeke effective between the tackles and it will also improve the play action thus helping Cardale.

I am still not sure why they are not just sticking to what we did last year with pretty much the same personnel. Their are risks to running the quarterback but the rewards in my mind out weigh the risks.

We have Cardale who is not efficient at decision making with the zone read and a very, very efficient quarterback in JT who is very good at the zone read because that is his type of offense.

Think back to the Indiana game ,we lead by 7 they are driving for a tying or winning TD,but the gods were good to us the center snapped the ball over the QB;s head ,game over,we should not be in that position EVER.
