http://sports.yahoo.com/news/as-ala...es-pete-carroll-s-fearlessness-053752686.html believe it or not this yahoo article hits it right on the head, Sabin will play a neutral (southern based) game and then bring in some cup cakes at home and everyone will call him a genius.
this is a great point, and i love how Sabin makes sure they only win by like 35-40 and gets praised for not running up score or anything, yet, if we where to only beat FAMU by 35-40, we'd of dropped 10 spots and been called awful
Probably best for the Big Ten if they did cancel; might as well save all the slaughtering for bowl season.
Texas offers ten, Bama offers 12. That oil money might be deep but that crazy Bama booster money will go deeper.
Texas can out-bid anyone. But Saban is in his 60's and has more money than he will ever spend. Anything less than a 25% raise is meaningless. I don't see why Saban would leave Alabama for anything short of another crack at the NFL.
Texas would be absolutely scary with Saban! But not as scary as Ohio State would be with Urban Meyer! GEEZ! That would be insane!
Bucs still give that college coach another year or two, the qb switch has saved him a year. Saban can't be a NFL coach he can't control them with fear like he does at the college level.
Saban will only leave Alabama for the NFL. I would be shocked if he goes to another college...coaches like a new challenge and why would he want to build up yet another college program? He has already dominated college football, but he did fail in the NFL and I bet he is waiting for another opportunity. He is probably just waiting for the right franchise, someone like the Giants or Jets possibly.
I think the whole DJ Fluker thing is going to hit Bama hard (ala USC), and if it does, I think Saban's gone...
