We are getting dominated and deserve to lose this game. Urban need to make an example of someone.

Playing 6 yards off the receiver? If I was Cal, I would take that all game long. Secondary once again playing bad. We need to switch to man to man.

This team can forget about going 12-0! They'd be lucky to go 10-2 and I'm being serious.

Absolutely. The only reason I still have hope that they might win 10 games is that they play in the Big 10 which is not at its best right now. When you look at the schedule, none of the games worry me other than the ones we've already had circled: Michigan State, Wisconsin and TTUN.

If they lose any of the others (including this one), it will be because they don't take care of business. They're not setting a good precedent here, but I hope they hang on. If they don't have a letdown like that and they steal one of the three against Wisky, Sparty or scUM, they'll win 10.

But watching this game.... those are some pretty big ifs in my mind. Like I said, the only thing that really gives me hope is how badly the rest of the Big Ten is doing this year.

At this point, I have a 2001esque expectation in the 8-4 or 7-5 range, which is honestly not bad for a coach in his first year. I'll take that in a year where we don't have a post season to play for..... Rather... I'll take that on one condition...

    BEAT MICHIGAN!!!!!!!!!!!!

Scratch that. They need to run laps AND do tackle drills.

    ALL WEEK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Who teaches these kids how to tackle, or should I say miss tackles...

Bench every player that is not wrapping up!

    High school coaches.

There is no excuse for arriving at the colleigate level on the defensive side without knowing and regularly practicing the fundamentals of tackling. That is like a musician arriving for the orchestra without even knowing a scale, or a doctor going to med school without knowing the basics of anatomy. It's unbelievable, but it's a pandemic in football. You cannot simply rely on your size or speed on defense. You cannot simply get in a guy's way and hope he falls down. You must physically force him to the ground.

Fickle needs to forget about football defense for the next month and teach these kids how to wrestle.

Our coaches are in Braxtons head. Telling him to not run so much has really held him back.

Good God we deserve to lose but we won't. I don't like losing but I damn sure don't like winning this way either.

Cal coach is a bit stupid sending out his kicker who's already missed 2 kicks from around the same range. It's now 3 misses.

I would have gone for it. It's only 1 yard...

    Devin Smith wide open!!!

I'll take it but we can't keep relying on these big plays like this. We have not moved the ball consistently today. We need to get better at this. The way we're playing is like a baseball team relying on everyone hitting solo homers. Can't win big games this way.

Usually I refrain myself unless there's blue involved, but in this case, I am making an exception.

Agreed. What was Hall's biggest run? About 4-yards? I think he shpuld have been taken off earlier.

Without Braxton's big run and Devin's catch at the end, we'd have lost for sure.
