I think we'll be able to handle MSU. Honestly, Kent State's RB may be better than Ringer the way he played last week. 38-10
I also hope that Beanie stays healthy for the entire game, but even if there is a minor set back, Saine & Mo Wells will pick up the work load. I feel confident going with any 3 of our backs. Saine is going to be a monster, once he gets more experience.
No offense but I can promise you that Ringer is a better running back then Kent State's. OSU had no reason to be motivated against Kent State and that allowed him to look better then he is. Ringer is a great back and we better come prepared to stop the run.
I love Saine also. The only thing is that when Wells is in the game he makes us a VERY good offense. I just don't know that Brandon is ready to run the ball 25 times a game. Maurice is a good back up but I would be shocked if we could run the table with him playing running back.
I completely agree. I like the trio of them, better than I like each one separately. Until Saine gets more experience lol
That's a good point. Jarvis is 5,5 170 and our defense admitted they had trouble seeing him through his line and through our own players. Ringer is small, but still much bigger than Jarvis at 5,10 200. I think Jarvis' size is what made him so difficult to play against; similar to Garrett Wolfe last year. Thus, I think we may have an easier time against Ringer because it isn't like playing against a midget.
Ringer is a very special player. He's tough as nails and can burn you with speed. To this day I still wished we had offered him a scholarship because we let a very good player get out of Ohio.
i wouldnt be too worried if beanie was out for a game and saine was our #1 TB. however, if Mo wells carried most of the load, i would be worried. i just dont think Mo fits very well with us. Brandon has shown us his combination of speeeeeed and power and has been impressive so far. if mo can get a lot of room, he could effective, but he doesnt seem to have that vision that a great TB has
So far their starting QB is...... 115-118 for 1476 yards, 61.2 CMP %, 7.85 YDS/A, 11 TDs and 3 INTs He seems pretty effecient, but nothing overwhelming. If we shut down Purdue's passing game, then we can surely shut down Michigan State's passing game. If we can shut down their running game (Ringer and Caulcrick) then we'll be fine. Ringer's stats: 132 carries for 932 yards (7.1 YPC) and 6 TDs Caulcrick's stats: 116 carries for 499 yards (4.3 YPC) and 13 TDs We take away their big play and play makers and we win. Bottom line. Over their last 3 games they've given up an average of 34 points a game. We all know this isn't going to be a shoot out, because of tOSU's defense, so if our O can put up anywhere near 34 points, it's not going to be close lol.
Honestly, I'm not worried at all about Saturday's game. If Wisconsin could handle them at home, then the Bucks certainly can. We have a better offense and much better defense than Wisconsin has.
Yes it is, but they have yet to play a defense like the Bucks. I thought Wisconsin was going to have a strong D coming in to the year, but obviously, they don't
05 he did well. Didn't they use a 2 RB system that year? Last year MSU didn't even show up in their own house.
